Meet Lori

Writer. Facilitator. Space Creator. Truth Seeker. Wild Soul.

I didn’t set out to be a writer—but I’ve always lived as a storyteller. Whether I was journaling through heartbreak, reflecting on a bike ride, or finding meaning in the messy middle, words have always been how I made sense of the world.

I spent years chasing the “perfect job,” hoping to find the one role that would align my talents, passions, and purpose. It turns out, I was never meant to fit into one thing—I was meant to create something true. Something healing. Something human.

At my core, I believe every person deserves to feel safe, seen, fulfilled, and empowered. That belief guides everything I do—on the page, in the workplace, in my home, and in every space I help shape.

I write to heal. I write to connect. I write to remind people that they are not alone.

My stories draw from the full spectrum of life: joy and grief, trauma and transformation, resilience and surrender. I’ve written about abuse, divorce, cancer, surgical menopause, food sensitivities, cycling, healing, identity, and love—always with the intent to find the light, the laughter, and the lesson.

I believe our stories hold power. They’re how we burn true.

So whether you’re here to read, reflect, or rise—I’m grateful you’ve found your way to my corner of the world.

Let’s keep growing, together.

With love, gratitude, and kindness,
Lori

And I adore him!

We are best friends and swolemates, cyclists and bodybuilders, writers, and coaches. And we have a lot of fun doing it.

Athlete

I was a runner for over 25 years, competing in races from 1 mile to marathon length. At the 1996 Vermont City Marathon I finished in under 4 hours. In my late 30s I traded in my running shoes for a bike, and fell in love with road cycling. I competed in bike races, team duathlon, and a mini triathlon, with wins in all three.

I was Co-Founder of cycleclubkingston from 2008-2016.
